Rachel Bronstein is a New York-based jazz vocalist and pianist. A straight-ahead singer with a strong improvisational focus, her style draws on years collaborating with post-bop composers at Second Floor Music under Don Sickler. There, she workshopped and developed vocal music with artists such as Norman Simmons, Grachan Moncur III, Rahn Burton, and Kirk Nurock. She recorded regularly at Van Gelder Studio with engineer Rudy Van Gelder. Her quartet features Michael Brownell on bass, Deric Dickens on drums, and Marius Duboule on guitar.
